the effect on the environment
Health hazard
Invasion route: inhalation, ingestion.
Health hazards: This product is strongly irritating to mucous membranes, upper respiratory tract, eyes and skin. After inhalation, it can cause death due to spasm, inflammation, edema, chemical pneumonia or pulmonary edema of the larynx and bronchi. Contact can cause burning, cough, wheezing, laryngitis, shortness of breath, headache, nausea and vomiting.
Toxicological information and environmental behavior
Dangerous characteristics: When heated to 125 ℃, it will decompose lithium hydride and metal aluminum, and release hydrogen. It can ignite when ground in the air. When heated or in contact with moisture, water, alcohol, or acids, an exothermic reaction will occur and hydrogen will be released and burn or explode. It reacts violently and explodes on contact with strong oxidants.
Combustion (decomposition) products: alumina, water.
Emergency treatment methods
Leakage emergency treatment
Isolate the leaked contaminated area and restrict access. Cut off the fire source. It is recommended that emergency personnel wear self-contained positive pressure breathing apparatus and fire protective clothing. Do not directly touch the leakage. A small amount of leakage: avoid dust, use non-sparking tools to collect in a dry, clean, covered container. Move to a safe place. Large amount of leakage: Cover with plastic sheet and canvas to reduce scattering. Contact the relevant technical department to determine the removal method.
Protective measures
Respiratory protection: When you may be exposed to poisons, you should wear a hood-type electric air-supply filter dust-proof respirator. When necessary, self-contained breathing apparatus is recommended.
Eye protection: protection has been used in respiratory protection.
Body protection: Wear chemical protective clothing.
Hand protection: Wear rubber gloves.
Other: Smoking is strictly prohibited at the work site. After work, take a shower and change clothes. Pay attention to personal hygiene.
first-aid
Skin contact: Take off contaminated clothing immediately and rinse with plenty of running water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention.
Eye contact: Immediately lift the eyelids, and rinse thoroughly with plenty of running water or saline for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention.
Inhalation: Leave the scene quickly to a place with fresh air. Keep the airway open. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. If breathing stops, give artificial respiration immediately. Seek medical attention.
Ingestion: Rinse mouth with water and drink milk or egg white by mistake. Seek medical attention.
Extinguishing methods: Do not use water, foam, carbon dioxide, halogenated hydrocarbons (such as 1211 extinguishing agent) to extinguish fires. Only use a metal cover or dry graphite or dry dolomite powder to extinguish the fire.
Chemical nature
has strong reducibility, can reduce aldehyde group, carbonyl group, lactone, peroxy group, pyridine salt, sulfoxide, halogenated hydrocarbon, amide, imide, carboxylic acid, etc.
